1.       Stem cutting used for propagation of Bougainvillaea.

2.       Stem cutting should be 12 mm or more thick and should have at least 4 to 6 nodes.

3.       To prevent root infection wash your cuttings in broad spectrum fungicide before planting.

4.        Use rooting rooting powder such as IBA ( Indole butyric acid ) in low concentration.

5.       Several cutting can be rooted together in large container by spacing 4 inches from each cutting.

6.       Any well drained potting medium is suitable for growing Bougainvillea.

7.       Gardening container should have well drainage system at least 2-3 holes

9.       Now pour the potting mix in your garden container and plant your cuttings by making holes in the medium. Now press the potting mix by hand to firm cuttings in to the medium and water gently.

10.    Now place your container under a semi shade are where it can receive indirect filter sunlight.

11.   Keep soil moist till seedlings are well developed.

12.   After 3 to 12 weeks cutting will be start to produce new roots in potting mix.

13.   It depends on the use of a rooting hormone and the cultivars maintenances

21.   Use organic fertilizers like mustered cake dust or dry cow dung or bone dust ½ to 1 teaspoon for initial vegetative growth.

22.   Bougainvillea needs regular fertilizer high in phosphates when they are start blooming.

23.   You can use complete balanced fertilizer like NPK 10:10:10 / 5:5:5 to promote good bougainvillea health and plentiful flower. 5gm is enough for per plants in every 15 days.

24.   Do not use nitrogen rich fertilizer. Too much fertilizer will promote vegetative growth and inhibit blooming.

25.   Use any micronutrient twice a year, soluble micro elements helps to prevents leaf chlorosis.

4. PRUNING

26.   Bougainvillea requires regular pruning to bloom more your plants.

27.    Overcrowding may leads to pest and diseases. For these reasons regular pruning is necessary to give shape your plants.
