HOW TO GET RID FROM ANTS FROM YOUR GARDEN

Ants are the most successful insects of the world. They have been on earth since the era of the dinosaurs and are found at every corner of the earth. Their presence in nature is essential to the well being of the garden and environment.

A sudden convergence of ants in the garden or a line of ants moving up and down a tree usually indicates the presence of aphids, mealy bug or other sap-sucking insects that attack plants. These insect produce a substance called honeydew. Ants feed on honey dew.

I am sharing some tips to control ants from your garden.

1.     Distribute some artificial sweetener (like saccharine) near the ant. This is fatal to ants.

2.     Sprinkle ground cinnamon around your plants. It is not harmful to ants but it is a good ant repellent.

3.     Pour boiling water, if you know the location of the nest of ants. Take several attempts to kill the queen.

4.     Mix Boric acid powder with sugar and make a sugar poison trap and spread it near the pots. But use these carefully as Boric acids are toxic to humans and animal.

5.     You may purchase folidol dust and spread it around the pots as it is most effective.
